What is the time limit for returning my core?
Cores must be returned within 30 days of purchase.  Cores returned after 30 days, but less than 180 days will be credited at 50%.  Cores returned after 180 days will not be credited.

What is the process for returning my core for refund?
Attach green tag to your core return.
Try to get all the fluid out of your gearbox.
Put it in the plastic bag that your Blue Top gearbox came in and use the same packaging if possible.
Tape the outside of box and send it back to us.

If you purchase a UPS core return label from us you must use the same box or the same sized box we shipped your order in to return your core.  
The UPS core return label is created for the box size and weight of your original order only.

How can I ensure I get my core refund?
  • Send your gearbox with the green tag we include in the invoice sleeve on the outside of the box.
  • Return your core within the 30 day core return window.
  • Make sure your part is OEM, if it is aftermarket you will only receive 25% of your core charge.
  • Return the same type gearbox that you purchased.
  • If your gearbox is damaged your refund will be prorated.
How long does it take to get my core refund?
Once we receive your core return we process your refund within 24 business hours, the same business day or the next business day.  The credit can take a few days to show up on your account.

How do I tell if my gearbox is an aftermarket gearbox?

I can't get my pitman arm off, can I return it with my core?
Yes you can return it with your core.  We would rather you send the pitman arm back with the core than risk damaging the core trying to get it off.  

What is Porting?
The porting option is used if you have or are planning on adding a hydraulic ram assist system on your vehicle.  It is an added on aftermarket option and does not come standard with your vehicle.  This is mostly used if you have a lift kit and run oversized tires.  If you are doing a factory steering gearbox swap you would not need this option.  
*Hydroboost brake systems have nothing to do with porting. The gearbox comes standard with pressure and return ports for normal operation.

Can I have it ported if I don't have a hydraulic assist system now, but want to add it in the future?
Yes we provide plugs so you can still use it without the hydraulic assist system.

How do I tell what gearbox ratio I have?
You would need to count the amount of turns lock to lock of your steering wheel.  This means to turn it all the way in one direction and count how many turns it takes until it stops in the other direction.
18:1 - 4 to 4 1/2 turns
15:1 - 3 to 3 1/2 turns

What type of fluid should I use?
We encourage you to use the same fluid that your vehicle manufacturer recommends.

Do you include O-rings for the hoses?  What size are the O-rings?
We do not include O-rings. 
Typically the gearboxes use a -010 (1/4" ID, 3/8" OD 1/16" CS) and -011 (5/16" ID, 7/16" OD 1/16" CS) Buna N70 which are very common sizes.

Custom Build
Can I send my gearbox in for a custom rebuild and avoid the core charge?
Yes we can rebuild yours as long as it is an OEM part. 

What is the turnaround time on custom builds?
We have a one business day turnaround time on most custom builds.  

What do I need to do if I want a custom build?
You would need to include our Rebuild & Return form found here: Rebuild and Return Info.  
You will need to complete this form and put any details you want us to know.  Once we receive your gearbox and complete the rebuild we will reach out for payment.

What is the Warranty?
Our product warrant is 12 months (unlimited miles) and does NOT include labor costs. If a warranty replacement is needed, a core charge is required to send a replacement.   For complete warranty information please visit Core & Warranty Info

The gearbox I need is out of stock, when can I expect for it to be back in stock?
We try to minimize the time our products are out of stock.  It ultimately depends on when we get our core returns.  We will update the website as soon as they are available.

Do you have a waitlist?
At this time this is not something we offer.

How do I return a new gearbox?
We will gladly accept a return within 30 days of purchase as long as the gearbox is returned to us in original packaging, unused and is in resellable condition.

There will be a $50 restocking fee.  We do not refund shipping costs.  The Customer is responsible for return shipping.

On any cancelled orders we will not refund the processing fees.

Does the UPS shipping cost include Saturday delivery?
UPS packages are only delivered on business days Monday through Friday (does not include holidays).  
Saturday delivery is NOT included in our UPS shipping charge.

Do you ship internationally?
At this time we are only shipping within the United States.
